8 bit datapath
Right now we are consuming almost 25% of the FPGA with just the ping module.
the 64bit 100MHz datapath is capable of 6.4Gbps, which is way higher than the 100 Mbps ethernet and also way faster than the modulation speeds that we can support.
A lot of the things only support 8 or 84, even though I would have wanted to do 32. Either way, almost every part of the design will be smaller if we use the smaller datapath.
